Wollondilly Cultural Advisory Group

Wollondilly Shire Council

First Art Prize project for the Wollondilly Cultural Advisory Group - Christmas Card Competition 2010.

In 2010, Wollondilly Shire Council consulted with residents to better understand their aspirations relating to the cultural life of their community. The outcome of this consultation process was the development of the Wollondilly Cultural Plan.

This Plan contains strategies and actions aimed at enhancing cultural life and increasing opportunities for the community to engage in cultural activities.

As a result of the development of the Cultural Plan, the Wollondilly Cultural Advisory Group was established. This group, made up of representatives of the community and facilitated by Council, is a step forward in ensuring that the activities identified in the Cultural Plan are implemented.

With limited resources, Council has been able to commence the implementation of strategies that will enhance the cultural connectedness of the Shire's isolated towns and villages through the Cultural Advisory Group.
