Minto Waterhole
Campbelltown City Council (3 other projects)
The Minto Waterhole project is a series of short films made by Sarah Redfern Primary School students in collaboration with artists Caitlin Newton-Broad, Howard Matthew and local resident and arts worker Sanjay Honas. The films playfully explore the journey of some children as they plunge underground to a mythical place, somewhere deep in suburban Minto.
The short films are result of a commission by Campbelltown City Council through Campbelltown Arts Centre as part of an ongoing Minto Arts Strategy. As part of this strategy, Campbelltown Arts Centre developed Site Lab 2010, an on site arts residency program in Minto. This residency was produced through Campbelltown Arts Centre’s Live Art Program and invited local, national and international artists to develop work that are relevant and in response to issues facing the community of Minto.
