Music for Little Ears

Orange City Council (1 other project)

Each session is led by a teacher from the Orange Regional Conservatorium

Music for Little Ears is a program offered by Orange City Library which introduces 2-3 year olds to classical music, singing, percussion, dancing and musical games, Music for Little Ears. This program complements, and provides a bridge between the Library’s Baby Rhyme and Read program (0-2) and Preschooler Storytime (3-5).

Researchers have found that music programs have an affirmative influence on development for children between birth and their primary school years in many developmental domains, in particular language literacy and numeracy.

The program lasts over 4 weeks with each session lasting for 20 minutes. It is offered in partnership with the Orange Regional Conservatorium and has been funded by the Orange Regional Arts Foundation.
