Installation of banners on the Lavington Telstra Exchange building

Lavington art+place presented the Central Business District of Lavington as a blank canvas to new media artists and at the same time explored the potential for this style of contemporary and conceptual work to engage the community in a time, place and space.

The Lavington CBD is an important crossroad for the City of Albury and for many is at the heart of the community. Lavington Art+Place brought arts and culture to one of the more lively centres of our city.
Five installations were installed around the fiveways area in vacant shops and on buildings. Featuring sound, animation, paper cut outs and large scale images, Lavington art+place provided a pop up gallery displaying work by artists from around the country.
